That Girl Knows 2.0

At least 15 years ago I created this domain and had no idea what I wanted to do with it. I knew I had a lot to say. There were a ton of things I loved and thought others should experience them too. If I liked something you had to know or at least I thought you did. Over these 20 some years of living in Nashville I kind of became the connector of people. I suppose it just came easy for me as I am naturally curious. I want to know who you are, where you came from, what inspires you. I want to know your story.  What makes you YOU. In these curious conversations, I have learned about compassion, empathy, adventure, love, losing and everything that makes us tick. The most important, I've learned to be kind. You never know what another's story is. I've learned to be patient. I've learned to be present. As my mother says, "We are put on this earth to help one another. It's not our job to judge." She is right and she is good. She is all things I hope to be some day.

That Girl Knows has really transformed into something I don't recognize but in the sweetest, weirdest way. In the beginning I wanted to be your go to. I wanted to bring fashion and all things on trend to your life. Today, I want to bring fun to your life. Some silliness with some good for you ideas, items and anything that can help lighten the load.

So how did I come to this? Well, sitting with my husband in front of our outdoor fireplace one beautiful fall evening, we started brainstorming about product names and ideas. Some serious and some were absolutely absurd. I decided I wanted BOTH. Because, I WANT EVERYTHING! I couldn't do one and not the other because that wouldn't be me. (I spent many years being less than so others could feel bigger. That is a story for another time.) I curse a little too much and love quality products.  Why not make a mish mash of all of the above? What if I could create products that are fun but good for us too? What if I could empower others as well? That's IT! That was IT and now here we are.  

After years of good ideas and some not so good ideas, not getting things off the ground and well just plain failing, I figured out God's timing is why That Girl Knows is now open and ready for business. This was never about me. I don't play a role other than following the path HE has laid out for me. I can't even tell you what it is. (But, you're That Girl Knows, what?) I know right! I just wake up each morning, say my prayer of gratitude and get to work.

On the website you will see my handful of fun teas and nutrition along with the clothing and gear I represent. You will also get a glimpse into some of the things I love in our local booming area of Franklin-Nashville TN and surrounding areas. I believe it is of the most importance to support our local businesses. My husband and I are small business owners and we couldn't survive without our local patrons, family and friends.

We will continue to add more products that include curated boxes, a wine or two and have many more ideas in process. We are excited to collaborate with other businesses in our area to bring even more local flare to That Girl Knows.  

I hope you will have some fun with these products.  In our all too serious world, let's try not to take OURSELVES too seriously.  I say let's be serious about our health and how we treat and speak to one another.  Hopefully we can find the humor in things out of our control and laugh out loud as much as possible.
